7th Heaven

I'm thrilled to be gearing up for my 7th annual ride in the MS 150 coming up in June!  And the (for the most part) amazing weather we've had recently has allowed me to get out for 3 bike rides already, including this one a few weeks ago on the Cannon Valley Trail.  Even though we had 10" of snow the other day, it is almost all gone already, and I hope to get out tomorrow for another ride.

Late last year I sold my beloved Specialized Allez that I had used for 5 years and upgraded to a Raleigh Revenio Carbon 4.0, which I absolutely love and am very easily getting used to.  Carbon + Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting = 7th Heaven.  :)

The MN Ironman Bike Ride is around the corner, and usually it is hard to get outside ahead of time to get some rides in.  I'm hopeful that I will already have 150-200 miles in by the end of April.  It is a great event as a warm-up for the MS 150.  It is notorious for usually being horrible weather-wise, although it was a beautiful day last year.

I'm setting a stretch goal of $2,500 in fundraising this year for the National MS Society.  I still feel on top of the world after all of my amazing supporters last year donated nearly $2,600 on my behalf and pushed my total fundraising over $10,000 over my first 6 years.  Check out my other posts on my MS 150 Blog, and if you would like to support my bike ride this year, I thank you in advance, for supporting this great cause. ->  Matt's MS 150.
